A native of Canton, OH, Andreya Williams moved to Tulsa in 2013. Andreya has worked in education for most of her professional career, including both K-12 and higher education. She also worked in Yokohama, Japan and Waikiki, HI, where she was contracted to develop programs for the children whose parents served in the armed forces. Prior to joining Tulsa Service Year, Andreya worked at the University of Tulsa as Assistant Director of Residence Life. Andreya is an active partner at Transformation Church, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and member of Leadership Tulsa's Class of 54. Andreya earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration & Supervision and Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Toledo. In her role as Program Director, Andreya aims to make this service year a rewarding opportunity for new college graduates, while creating high quality programming and bolstering the program with new partners to advance the mission of the Tulsa Service Year. In addition to her role as Director, she is currently a doctoral student at Oklahoma State University, pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Some of her favorite things to do include exploring new coffee shops, going to brunch with friends, and traveling the world!
