Shaya Godycki

Shaya Godycki is a 2025 Graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University, where she majored in Africana Studies and Comparative Literature. She was part of the Barbara Silver Horowitz ’55 Scholars of Distinction Program and received the Quandra Prettyman Prize in Africana Studies due to her dedication to the field. While on campus, Shaya worked as a Residential Assistant and a Student Assistant for the Caribbean Digital Scholarship Collective, as well as serving on the boards of BSO and BOSS and acting as the Secretary of the Upsilon Phi chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Shaya is excited to to join the Tulsa Service Year Team as the fellow for the Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma (RJIOK). In her free time, Shaya enjoys going to libraries, drawing in her sketchbook or on her iPad, watching movies, and cooking.
